After a devastating earthquake destroyed her home in Papua New Guinea, one-year-old Solina Asia was staying at a crowded temporary shelter when she fell ill with diarrhoea. If untreated, diarrhoea be deadly, especially for young children.
Luckily, she was given oral rehydration salts to prevent her from becoming severely dehydrated, help her recover and get her smiling again!

This is the most severe form of malnutrition, but luckily, Parmina received timely treatment to get better, in the form of ready-to-use-therapeutic food, or RUTF.
RUTF is an energy-rich paste that gives malnourished children the right balance of nutrition so that they can recover as quickly as possible. For children like Parmina, it can be, literally, a life-saver.
When relentless rainfall across Nepal in 2017 brought monsoon flooding and landslides, thousands of families like Meera’s, above, were left without some of the most basic daily necessities. Receding water then left sludge and contamination at everyone's doorsteps, raising the risk of diseases such as diarrhoea and typhoid. In order to help families take care of their hygiene and health, they were given hygiene kits, with items such as a buckets, soap, and water purification tablets.
When a massive hurricane tore through homes, schools, roads and bridges in the Caribbean, 8-year-old Myra and her family were forced to leave behind everything familiar and move to a shelter on a different island. Myra received school supplies to help her resume learning and regain a sense of normalcy, which is very important to help children recover in times like these.
